Last night I dreamed I was in this place with other people, & on the walls was these rules- one of them was “DO NOT WAKE UP”…. Then I remember being in this room the light was red. & I heard people saying “He’s in between” & they were panicked. & I kept saying in my head “please dont hurt me: Please dont hurt me” & I was terrified & powerless.. & then there was a man who may have been a doctor standing over me, & blood started pouring out of his mouth. & they said “he believed you was good at first. Dont do this. He believed you was good”.
Dreams often tap into our subconscious thoughts, fears, and desires, presenting them in a symbolic form. In your dream, several key elements stand out that can provide insight into your inner emotional state and the circumstances in your waking life.
The Setting: You find yourself in a place with others, which could suggest a feeling of being surrounded by community or society, yet simultaneously indicates a disconnect or anxiety about your position within that group. The fact that rules are displayed on the walls—especially "DO NOT WAKE UP"—hints at a desire to remain in a certain mindset or state, possibly indicating you’re struggling with reality or wish to avoid confronting something uncomfortable in your life. This could symbolize a fear of change, confrontation, or awakening to a harsh reality.
The Red Light: Red often symbolizes strong emotions, whether they be danger, anger, or passion. The red light in your dream can signify a heightened state of anxiety or fear—perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed by certain emotions in your waking life. It might also represent a warning sign urging you to pay attention to a looming issue that requires resolution.
The Voice of Panic: Hearing people say “He’s in between” reflects a sense of liminality—being on the edge of two states of being, possibly indicating that you feel stuck in your life. This could relate to a transitional phase where you're unsure of your identity or your next steps, creating internal tension and perhaps a fear of not being accepted by others.
Intrusive Thoughts: Your repeating thought of "please don't hurt me" suggests feelings of vulnerability and helplessness. This could reflect a real-life situation where you feel threatened or fear being judged. It’s as if you’re grappling with an internal conflict or external pressures that have given you a sense of powerlessness.
The Doctor Figure: The appearance of the man who may have been a doctor could symbolize authority, healing, or perhaps betrayal. If he was intended to be a figure of care but instead is spilling blood, it indicates that you might be struggling with trust issues or feelings of being let down by those who are supposed to protect or heal you. The imagery of blood could symbolize life force, vitality, or even guilt—suggesting you’re grappling with deep emotions related to these themes.
Final Message: The phrase “he believed you was good at first. Don’t do this. He believed you was good” might echo an internal dialogue where you are questioning your own worthiness or fear of letting others down. You might be wrestling with the high expectations placed upon you by yourself or others, leading to a fear of failure or loss of approval.
Your dream presents a narrative filled with fear, powerlessness, and questions of identity and trust. You might be navigating a challenging transition in waking life, feeling stuck between who you are and who you want to be. It could be beneficial to explore these feelings further through reflection, journaling, or perhaps discussing them with someone you trust. By addressing these underlying emotions and anxieties, you may find a path towards empowerment and clarity, allowing you to "wake up" from this state of fear and confusion.
